 Council Budgets 

 2025-2026

The council financial year runs from 1st April to 31st March. Each year the members of the Community Council review the existing budget and establish a new one for the forthcoming year, which is formally approved and accepted at the December council meeting.
The Community Council receives it’s main income from Monmouthshire County Council in the form of a precept levied on residents in the community. The amount of the precept is determined as part of the budget setting process and notified to Monmouthshire County Council, who collect the precept on behalf of the Community Council.
The council members, when setting the budget and precept, are required to give consideration to the following:
1. Running costs of the council
2. Maintenance and running costs of existing assets e.g. play parks, emptying litter bins, and grounds maintenance.
3. Supporting local community groups and organisations through the award of a small grant.

Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)

The multi-use games area can be used for basketball, tennis, or netball. The area remains unlocked for public use at any time.  The games area may be hired to individuals who would like to ensure availability, or for group activity bookings.

Hire of the games area as at September 2023 are £2.00 per hour for individual use.

Cost of hire for businesses providing fitness classes - £16.00  per hour


Sports Pitch

The sports pitch is used by Severn Tunnel FC and other local football teams for matches and training, but is available for hire at other times. 

Cost of hire for businesses providing fitness classes / football etc  with changing room hire - £16.50 per hour from 01.07.25 to be reviewed in May 2026.

 Rogiet Hub

Rogiet Hub contains changing facilities and a social room.  The social room is used during term time by a day nursery but can be hired on weekends and evenings.

Room hire is currently £16.00 per hour, to be reviewed in May 2025.
